We imagine scenarios and negative results. We think of the worst situations possible. Students can spend a lot of time worrying about how they answered questions in their exams. The person who arrives late because he is stuck in traffic is worried about what people will think of her when she comes into the meeting 10 minutes late. The employee monitors the unemployment curves during his lunch break and begins to worry about the safety of his job.

      In all these situations, the person is worried about something that has not happened yet, and in many cases, something that may never happen. Not only that, she worries about something she has no control over at the moment. If you want to know how to stop worrying, then you must learn to be present in the moment.
You have to realize that most of the things that people worry about are never realized. You can spend a large part of your life worrying yourself to the point where you start to lower your level of happiness. You can even start to stop living because you are afraid of all the possible negative situations that you have imagined in your head.

Stop worrying about things you have no control over. The student who is worried about his results is a waste of time because what is done is done. Whether he spends his time worrying or having fun, it will not change the outcome. The employee who sees the unemployment rate rising may be worried about his work and may even decide to redouble his efforts, but at the moment, during his lunch, he can not do much, so it is useless to worry.

You can try to write the things you are worried about and find out what percentage of these things are really happening. Once you realize that there is really little point in worrying about things over which you have no control, you will begin to appreciate life much more.
